Central England Co-op Funeral Plans

Things to know about funeral plans

People who plan their funeral early often tell us how positive the experience can be.

It’s a relief to make sure your family and those you love know exactly what your wishes are and that all the costs are covered, but also the very act of thinking about the whole experience can be liberating.

What is a funeral plan?

A funeral plan is a promise to deliver a funeral in the future. It’s a simple way to plan and pay for your funeral in advance. Once your plan is paid for, there’s nothing more to pay for the services in the plan, no matter how much prices rise in the future. It gives you and those you love the peace of mind that you’ll get the funeral you want and have paid for.

Who can buy a plan?

Our plans are available for anyone aged 18 and over. You don’t have to answer any medical or health questions and we don’t have an upper age limit.

Can I buy a plan for someone else?

You can buy a funeral plan for yourself or you can buy a funeral plan on behalf of someone else. The person buying the plan is the Customer and the person who the plan is for will be the Covered Individual. In many cases the Customer and Covered Individual will be the same person.

Telling somebody about your funeral plan

It’s important to let those closest to you know what funeral arrangements you’d like, so when it comes to arranging the funeral, they’re not left wondering what you may have wanted.

When arranging a funeral plan you can name a Nominated Representative who can be notified of all the arrangements detailed in your plan. This can be anyone you wish, family or friend, if they are 18 years or older.

The Nominated Representative will be made aware of your funeral plan contract, what is and isn’t included in the plan and what to do when the time comes.
